LA-SPN is an organization formed by a small group of pediatric nurses at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. LA-SPN members now include nurses caring for children in varied settings throughout the greater Los Angeles area. We are dedicated to improving the lives of pediatric patients and their families through awareness, advocacy, support and training. We started with a desire to help pediatric nurses by sharing knowledge and resources that were gained through our experiences working with the health care system’s smallest patients.
We know that in the course of a day a pediatric nurse can perform a variety of duties that can leave them exhilarated and exhausted at the end of the day. From routine medical care to life-saving procedures, pediatric nurses provide care and assist with the medical procedures that enhance health and quality of life.
Therefore, we aim to provide the same high level of support and care to our pediatric nurse members as they provide to their patients. With our membership growing, we are able to contribute even more to our members, our communities and medical centers we serve.
